Phoebe is a great dog. She loves her squeaky stuff toys and gives kisses until you make her stop. She is a rampant "smiler" and scares people who thinks she is showing her teeth because of aggression.  She is a little leery of strangers but doesn't bark unless there is serious unrest about. She is extremely playful and active and can run up the side of a 800ft mountain and down again repeatedly and then look at you like you are walking too slow. She chases deer in the hay field if we are not looking but is the first one back every time when called. She is extremely loyal and obedient, always watching us to see what we want from her.  She will nurse a kitten like it was hers and play chase with the adult cats. Yes, even the cats love her. If coyotes come near the chicken's pen, she would tear them a new orifice to defend the hens. She walks around the horses legs aware of their every movement so she can get out of the way. Her beautiful brown eyes tell the stories of a thousand joys.  She is such a happy camper and we are proud to have her in our family, working for and with us.
